Homework Helper

“Education is the key to unlock the golden door to freedom.” –George Washington Carver

Free, Afterschool Tutoring Service

Students from low-income & underrepresented communities have suffered the consequences of the pandemic, especially in the STEAM area of mathematics.

Our grant funded homework helper program, which is open to the community, offers in-person and virtual tutorial services provided by education professionals to assist students in their studies. We’ll use specialized one-on-one differentiated instruction methods to cover common core math topics in a way that emphasizes the importance of mathematical development for middle school students moving up to high school. As a result, learning gaps will be closed and an interest in STEAM will be sparked, leading them to pursue higher education.

The goal of our programs is to increase students’ confidence, improve their academic performance and establish healthy study habits for students of low-income and underrepresented communities.
