Following the devastating fire at the 25-unit residential building located at 207 Dyckman Street in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan, which tragically claimed the lives of four individuals, left five others hospitalized with critical injuries, and displaced numerous families who lost nearly all of their personal belongings, our organization quickly mobilized to support those impacted by the tragedy.
In partnership with local community groups and Manhattan Community Board 12, we organized a coordinated relief effort to collect, sort, and distribute clothing, hygiene products, household necessities, and other essential items to displaced residents and families in need. Through the generosity of community members, volunteers, and partner organizations, we were able to provide immediate assistance and help families begin the difficult process of recovery during an incredibly challenging time for the Inwood community.
