African Americans and Hispanic seldom have the opportunity to obtain early exposure to STEM/STEAM activities and workshops. In a 3-week workshop offered by BELL Organization, participants learn the fundamentals of math and robotics, which will help them gain the skills they need for careers in the field and prepare for higher education in robotics. Those over the age of 12 or with a basic understanding of robotics and mathematics are recommended to attend the workshops. Assessment tests are required of students who apply for placement. Students received a Certificate of Completion when they finish the workshop.
